Slipcover Technique

slipcover technique
The example shown here is a curvaceous Queen Anne Wing chair, commonly the most difficult to slipcover. Using a special cutting technique combined with a Velcro base exemplifies our “Upholstered Look” Slipcover.

The “Upholstered Look” slipcover technique

We developed the “Upholstered Look” slipcover shortly after Velcro came to the market. Our cutters create a remarkable fit by cutting the fabric at an angle specific to the piece and attaching Velcro around the bottom of the chair. This technique allows us to pull the slip cover tightly over the body to expose the carved legs. Now for the first time, you can have a slipcover that makes your furniture look upholstered…without a skirt!
